These shots show the living room as it started. All plaster and lathe, except for the ceiling which for some reason was about a 1/4" of plaster over 1/4" sheetrock.
The door you see on the wall to the left is a closet that juts into the kitchen, making it even smaller than it should be. That's got to go.
Here's another view of the wall that's going to be removed. It is a load bearing member for the roof over the front room, but we'll get to that later.
