Now that the east bedroom is closed in, it's time to move into the main part of the house. Because of the way the house is built, it feels a bit closed in. A galley kitchen leads into the center room of the house, which I believe was originally the dining room, and which was originally the extent of the front of the house. Some time after the house was built, an addition was built onto the front which functions as a living room, but it's long and thin and not well suited to the placement of a couch. Here is a shot looking towards the front of the house through the center, or dining room, into the addition. It is my plan to remove the wall dividing the two rooms, as well as the wall between the kitchen and dining room, opening up the floor plan considerably.

Here you see the wall between the kitchen and dining room which is also planned to be removed.
