Dear Bank of America Customer Service

I just received in the mail a $10 gift card to use with my B of A credit card, thanking me for being a loyal customer.

I figured I received this generous offer because last April I transferred all of my $12,000 balance of of my account and I though I would let you know why you lost me as a loyal customer.

You lost me as a loyal customer because, as a low risk client, that is, one that paid their bill on time and used their card frequently, I was rewarded by having my interest rate doubled.  The explanation I was given for this change was that the economy was bad and the company was losing money.

Well, your company was losing money because you treat your loyal, PAYING customers like they deadbeats that are costing you money.

When I asked that the rate increase be rescinded, I was flat out told that it couldn't be done but that I could offered 10.9% on new balance transfers.  Oh Boy!

So, instead of taking the customer abuse that was being dished out, I transferred my balance to another card who was happy to offer me one year at 0% with a lower rate than I started with your bank.

So, no, I will not be using this generous $10 gift card to make a purchase on my Bank of America credit card.

I just wanted you to know that. >:XX
