...just think about poor Tsutomu Yamaguchi. According to an AP article that has been making the rounds today, he has been first person confirmed to have survived both the Nagasaki and Hiroshima nuclear bombs.

On a business trip in Hiroshima, he found himself on the business end of Little Boy. After spending the night in the city nursing the burns he received, Tsutomu returned to his home in Nagasaki. Two days later, that city got a visit from Fat Man. The most amazing feat is not only that he survived, but still survives, at 93 years old.

So when you're fretting that your car broke down, or that your 401K is about a third of what it was last year, think about how Mr Yamaguchi must have felt when he heard the B-29s approaching for the second time in four days.
